Propane
Propane is the multi-use home fuel source because it not only powers your heat and hot water, but cooking stoves, fireplaces, pools and much more. Perhaps most importantly it comes directly from Blue Flame Gas, Co., your full service energy supplier.
There are several unique benefits to using propane. Almost 90% of the propane used in the United States is produced right here – domestically. Therefore, reliability is high with minimal dependence on foreign suppliers. Propane is also the most universal of residential fuels, having the ability to power a wide range of appliances from a single fuel source. Propane is eco-friendly; as a burned fuel, it meets all clean air energy standards put forth by the Environmental Protection Agency.
We offer two types of propane delivery:
Automatic Delivery
When you sign up for automatic delivery, we monitor your account, based upon your previous history and elapsed degree days. You, as the customer do not have to worry about monitoring your system’s inventory level.
We recognize that not all things are perfect. Occasionally, additional appliances are added to a customer’s propane system without our knowledge. Additionally, propane usage habits may change. As such, these changes impact your propane consumption. Any such changes need to be let known to Blue Flame Gas, Co., so we can adjust your propane delivery schedule.
“Will Call” Delivery
“Will Call” is best for customers who prefer to monitor their own propane usage. Please call us when your tank gauge indicates 25%. “Will Call” deliveries are only dispatched on a regularly scheduled route and any off route deliveries are subject to a special delivery charge. “Will Call” customers are guaranteed that their delivery will be made within five working days of the date on which their request was received.
Installation
Blue Flame offers many options for residential and commercial customers when it comes time for selecting the correct tank or cylinder(s) for your needs. Our staff will help you every step of the way; from permits, location of the tank or cylinder(s), final connection, appliance conversion and system safety check. Every propane system installed or serviced by Blue Flame is required to be in compliance with NFPA Pamphlet #54, NFPA Pamphlet #58, and any applicable state or local codes.
Propane is sold as a liquid (U.S. gallon). Your residential, and most commercial appliances, consume propane in its vapor form. Propane vapor reaches your appliances through your propane gas system. When your propane system was installed it was determined to be safe and leak free. Absolutely no alterations or modifications should be made to your propane system by anyone other than an employee of Blue Flame Gas Company, Inc. or authorized personnel.
Every propane installation served by Blue Flame Gas Company, Inc. will be inspected and “leak checked” in accordance with “GAS Check” procedures for residential systems and industry standards for commercial systems. The system inspection and “leak check”, includes: all connections at the tank or cylinder(s), all regulators and all tubing, pipe and fittings comprising the propane supply system both inside and outside the building. Inspection and test results as well as other specific information are documented and retained at Blue Flame’s offices, and customers are provided with a copy.
